The Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Ivan Ivanov, had talks with EU Agri Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski during the informal council meeting, organized by the French Presidency in Strasbourg.
The Minister of Agriculture Ivan Ivanov and the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of RSM Ljupcho Nikolovski signed Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of agriculture, agricultural sciences, rural areas and forestry between the two ministries.
The discussion placed emphasis on the great importance of technologies in agriculture and their importance for the efficient production of agricultural products.
Minister Ivanov met with EU Agriculture Commissioner Wojciechowski during the meeting of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council, which took place in Brussels, Belgium.
“Bulgaria has the potential to expand the production of vegetable protein, having good experience and traditions in this field”, stated by the Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Hristo Bozukov.
“We are actively working on the preparation of the Bulgarian Strategic Plan for the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and in close cooperation with all parties involved.”
