"When we celebrate 90 years since the creation of a particular specialty, it's time to consider what this specialty has given to society," said Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Assoc. Prof. Georgi Kostov at the validation of a postage stamp dedicated to 90 years since the beginning higher forestry education in Bulgaria. The beginning was put by the minister of forestry department at that time Dimitar Hristov, who has envisioned the importance of education for the forest sector, added further the Deputy Minister.

 

Postal block themed “Ecology – Forestry in Bulgaria”, contains a stamp, illustrated envelope with a standard sign and a special seal. The design includes the 20 most common tree species in the country.

 

The event was also attended by Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Valeri Borisov.
