The Minister of Agriculture and Food Kiril Vatev met with the US Ambassador H.E. Kenneth Merten at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
Minister Vatev informed Ambassador Merten of the actions taken by Bulgaria regarding the facilitation of the transit of agricultural products from Ukraine through the solidarity lanes. "We are helping Ukraine and providing full support to the best of our ability," he said.
The two officials discussed the possibility of expanding the export of traditional Bulgarian processed products to the American market. "Bulgaria produces excellent wines with huge export potential," emphasized Minister Vatev.
The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Alexander Iotzev also participated in the meeting.
