We are working to increase the export of Bulgarian agricultural products to the USA. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Desislava Taneva during a meeting with a delegation led by Robert Evnen, Secretary of State of Nebraska, USA.
They discussed matters of mutual interest in the field of agriculture. Over the last two years, there has been a steady growth in the export of agricultural goods from Bulgaria to the USA. First, with a 30% share, comes the export of peeled sunflower seeds, followed by sheep milk and cheese - 16% share, raw tobacco - 7%, processed vegetables, provisionally preserved fruits, wines, honey, etc.
Robert Evnen suggested sharing their experience in the field of irrigation, a technology leading to a significant increase in the volume of agricultural production.
