State Fund Agriculture - Payment Agency for the fourth consecutive year, will provide food under the "Charity" Program, announced the Executive Director Svetoslav Simeonov. The program is funded by the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund, as for 2011, a budget amounting to EUR 11 million euros has been allocated to Bulgaria.
Partner of the State Fund Agriculture in the implementation of the "Charity” Program for 2011 is the Bulgarian Red Cross / BRC /, said Simeonov. Around 205 thousand people will be helped with food products. These are people who have received targeted assistance for the 2010/2011 heating season. The program is implemented in cooperation with the Agency for Social Assistance and the BFSA
Under the scheme, the Payment Agency provides food supply to the warehouses of the Bulgarian Red Cross that are distributed to socially weak persons.
