For the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency this year a priority will be to check the kitchens in restaurants and hotels, announced by Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov during the presentation of the report for 1 year operation of Agency. Inspectors will go behind the luxurious shop windows, he said. They will examine how food is stored and prepared. Moreover, the control systems will be monitored too. For example, if the seats for eating in the restaurant are the same number as the jobs in the kitchens.
We want to introduce rules and control and people who prepare food to have necessary qualification, aid the Director of BFSA Dr. Yordan Voynov. They must observe hygiene standards. This year we will continue to impose standards of food and this will continue to be our goal, Voynov added.
