"This is the first major investment in forest road network in the region for 15 years now and it is one of the most significant projects under the development program of the Southwestern State-Owned Enterprise in 2014," said Minister of Agriculture and Food Prof. Dimitar Grekov during t sod-turning ceremony for the construction of alternative forest road between the villages of Kovachevitsa and Gorno Dryanov, Garmen municipality, Blagoevgrad.
The road length is approximately 15 kilometers and the funds provided for its construction amounted to BGN 4.9 million. During the year the construction of 8 forest roads with a total length of 54 km worth about BGN 18 million are planned to be built in Southwestern State Owned Enterprise. The money is provided by the Forestry Investments Fund.
