A mobile group of the Executive Agency for Fishery and Aquacultures (IARA) conducted yesterday checks in Pleven region for unauthorized fish sale.
During a joint check with the mayor in Brenitsa village, the experts discovered 43 kg of undersized fish that was being offered at the marketplace without the necessary documents.
The fish was confiscated and donated to the Brenitsa municipality.
Additionally, at Vit river in Pleven, the IARA mobile group caught a fisherman using an unauthorized fishing method. The fishing rod was confiscated.
