A total of 3,548 agricultural producers today received financing under the national suckler cow copayments scheme.
The aid depends on the number of animals raised on the farm and for which financing has been requested.
In October, State Fund Agriculture disbursed to stockbreeders subsidies in excess of BGN 63 million in the first tranche of the total BGN 140 million aid allotted to the sector. A further BGN 40 million will be paid out under the dairy stockbreeding and sheep breeding schemes backed by the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF). The second tranche of direct payments for stockbreeders is due to be paid out from the beginning of 2013.
