Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tzvetan Dimitrov met with President of the National Union of Cattle Breeders in Bulgaria Nikola Angelov and members of the Board at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. They discussed measures to remedy the situation on the dairy market and the contractual relations between producer, processor and trader.
Representatives of the Union announced that they would support any actions of the ministry, which regulate the production of dairy products only from raw milk throughout the country. Opportunities for stricter control in the manufacture and supply of dairy products performed by the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency were also discussed at the meeting.
