More than 90% of the firms which have been written in the debtor’s book of the State Fund “Agriculture” and don’t have breaches of order and would be written off. This was announced by the Executive Director of the Fund Rumen Porozhanov during the meeting with the leadership of Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIBG). The write off will be done jointly by the SFA, the National Unit to Fight Against Fraud with EU Funds (AFCOS) and the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor’s Office. The debtor’s book contains over 200 debtors of the Fund, who have to return funds, said Rumen Porozhanov. The total due amount of money exceeded BGN 241 million.
Chairmen of the Association of Meat Processors Kiril Vatev asked if the 98 companies in the book, which are mostly in butcher business, can apply for the new project acceptance under the Rural Development Program. Rumen Porozhanov replied the end of the investigation and the completion of the write off procedure in the debtors’ book anybody could be able to apply. He added that at the last meeting of Management Board of Sate Fund “Agriculture”, have considered cases of wine-growing company, which would be written off the debtors’ book.
SFA Executive Director Rumen Porozhanov announced that the ordinance, under which the requirement for paid taxes dropped off, has been promulgated. Thus, farmers will receive subsidies.
