Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov said in Sopot that he hopes there will be a positive decision on the payment of grain producers’ subsidies next week.
A quick positive solution will be arrived at on February 19, when grain producers will meet up with prime minister Boyko Borissov, the minister explained.
Today, the premier asked the Finance Ministry to present a plan for the payment of the EU aid. It needs to come up with financing from the budget, which will then be recovered by Brussels.
Minister Naydenov did not commit to a specific date for payment of the subsidies but he hopes this would happen within the shortest possible terms.
