Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Rumen Porodzanov met with representatives of the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria. The progress of the 2014-2020 Rural Development Program and the opportunities for community-led local development funding were discussed during the meeting, which took place today at the ministry. The two sides discussed some difficulties, as Minister Porodzanov pointed out that it is important for him to reduce the administrative burden, which will make it easier for all.
Representatives of NAMRB expressed their opinion that it is important for them to reintroduce the joint amendments to the Law on the Ownership and Use of Agricultural Land (OACP) in the National Assembly for the management and restitution of the remaining land fund and for the protection of the municipal lands, as well as amendments to the Law on Veterinary Activities aimed at updating the legal framework for regulation of agricultural activities.
