Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tzvetan Dimitrov took part in a working meeting with academics, researchers and specialists on the problems of hydromeliorations, as well as with representatives of associations for irrigation and Irrigation Systems EAD. Current status of hydromeliorations and future development strategy for the sector were discussed at the meeting. The participants in the meeting also discussed the price of water for irrigation and the possibility of introducing a fee to use the services of Irrigation Systems EAD by the owners of irrigated lands. During the forum was also considered the possibility for preparation and notification of State aid by which part of the expenses for irrigation to be recovered to the farmers.
