At the Ministry of Agriculture and Food was signed a branch collective agreement for workers in the "Forestry enterprise management" in 2012. Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov put its signature under it as a guarantee for its implementation, as well as the directors of the six forestry enterprises, employers and representatives of branch associations from the forestry sector to the Confederation "Podkrepa" , Eng. Petar Abrashev and Anelia Nacheva representing workers.
"This is the best thing that has happened in the forestry sector up to now," said Minister Naydenov. Currently 90% of employees work in forestry sector without insurance contracts and it was high time to change that, added Minister. He reminded that during his meetings with representatives of the forestry sector, they expressed satisfaction with the fact that the change in the Forestry Law will enable the state forestry enterprises to extract firewood and hire people for that. Thus legal and guaranteed jobs for people in the sector will be provided
