Imitation dairy products will be clearly labeled to ensure consumers are fully informed about what they are consuming. The Minister of Agriculture and Food, Plamen Abrovsky, stated this at the opening of the Seventh National Festival "The Milky Way of Bulgaria through the Centuries" in the town of Lukovit.

Although these products cannot be banned, the Ministry is taking strict measures to close all loopholes in the Dairy Products Ordinance. An expert working group has already started working toward this goal. The Minister expects these unfair practices to end by the end of the year.

"I want all of us to eat authentic Bulgarian white brined cheese produced in Bulgaria, Bulgarian kashkaval that has undergone the necessary ripening process, as well as the traditional Bulgarian yogurt," Minister Abrovsky emphasized, reminding us that the food we consume has a direct health and economic impact on our lives.
