“The organization of permanent farmers' markets will provide consumers with daily access to real Bulgarian products”, said the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Kiril Vatev at a meeting with farmers in the city of Razgrad. He visited the Razgrad Yoghurt Fair, which the municipality has organized for the 21st time, where he talked with food producers and artisans. Minister Vatev also held a meeting with the Mayor of the municipality Dencho Boyadzhiev as well as the Deputy Mayors Dobrin Dobrev, Miroslav Gruncharov and Habibe Rasim.

During the meetings, Minister Vatev highlighted that in Bulgaria there lack of producers, organized in cooperatives, therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food would work on two key laws - the Law of Trade in Agricultural Products and the Law on Cooperatives, in order to have clear incentives for cooperation. "There is no way to succeed, because everyone works alone in the market", added the minister and emphasized that we should strive to make products with a higher value added.

During his visit to Razgrad, Minister Vatev also visited the Professional High School for Agriculture and Food Technology "Angel Kanchev" and inspected the premises of the Animal Breeding Selection Center.
