The number of participants in the exhibitions AGRA, WINERY and FOODTECH have registered a growth of 25% where meet science and practice meet with the latest achievements in agriculture. This said the Minister of Agriculture and Food Kiril Vatev during the opening of the 9 th edition of the mega-exhibition, which unites the international specialized exhibitions AGRA 2024, WINERY 2024 and FOODTECH 2024. Together with the Vice President Iliyana Yotova and his counterpart, the Kososvo’s Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Faton Peci officially kicked off the fair week by cutting the opening ribbon.
Minister Vatev pointed out that the serious international participation of the forum will develop in the future and will build on a very successful market development. "We have witnessed in our country and throughout Europe the serious concerns and dissatisfaction of agricultural producers, and regardless of all this, the request for an extremely successful exhibition is very serious," said Minister Vatev. "The great exhibitors’ interest shows that the spirit of the Bulgarian manufacturer is not broken after so many crises, and I sincerely believe that everyone will leave this place with more optimism and new ideas for success in their work", he also said and wished success to the participants in the exhibitions.
Minister Vatev thanked his Kosovo’s counterpart Faton Peci for responding to the invitation to visit our country. "We have been warmly welcomed in the Republic of Kosovo and it is obvious that there is huge potential to deepen friendly and commercial relations between the two countries. Kosovo expects the Bulgarian business to become active and offer the Bulgarian products as much as possible - food, beverages and cereals at Kosovo’s market", the minister informed during the opening press conference. He pointed out that the goal is to make AGRA a spectacle of a much higher level, where business meets science. "Science must actively participate in real production, as well as in politics and agriculture in the Balkans, but in the Arab countries too. The development of AGRA should follow this line of expanding contacts, as it is known that the food shortage in the world has not yet been overcome," Minister Vatev added.
Minister Vatev noted that scientific conferences are planned, the first of which is on the topic: "Agrarian science in agricultural practice” and the second is about climate change. "I sincerely hope and believe that everyone who participates in this exhibition and presents their latest achievements will leave the fair full of new ideas and optimism," the minister also pointed out.
