“Traditional Bulgarian foods and wines have the potential for high market success”, said Minister of Agriculture and Food, Kiril Vatev, who visited the Wine Festival, held in the village of Oreshak, near the town of Troyan.

The exhibition is organized under the international project "Discover it! The local wine" of the association "Local Initiative Group (LIG) Troyan, Apriltsi, Ugarchin" and it is financed under sub-measure 19.3 "Preparation and implementation of activities for the cooperation of local initiative groups" of the PRDP 2014 - 2020. Three local initiative groups from Bulgaria and four from Romania are project partners. Activities, financed under the project for the Bulgarian participants, amount to 568,038 BGN.

“I hope the cooperation with our neighbouring Romania will deepen and lead us to high market successes together," Minister Vatev said.

He spoke with the participants from Bulgaria and Romania - 15 wineries, producers of local food, meat, cheese, bakery and confectionery, presenting their products at 25 stands in the exhibition area of the National Exhibition of Artistic Arts and Crafts (NEAAC) and wished success to the forum and to all exhibitors.
