Minister Ivanov met with EU Agriculture Commissioner Wojciechowski during the meeting of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council, which took place in Brussels, Belgium.
The progress in the preparation of the Bulgaria’s CAP Strategic Plan was discussed at the meeting.
Minister Ivan Ivanov briefed EU Commissioner Wojciechowski on the reasons for the delay in finalizing the Plan, such as the political situation in the country, the remaining meetings of the Thematic Working Group and reflecting the commitments made by the Coalition Agreement.The National Strategic Plan for Agriculture will be ready by the end of February
He made a commitment to continue at a rapid pace the work to complete the plan as soon as possible.
Both Minister Ivanov and EU Commissioner Wojciechowski agreed to keep the constructive dialogue and active communication on the completion and approval of the National Strategic Plan.
