“Bulgaria is famous for the aromas and tastes of its food”. With these words, the Minister of Agriculture Yavor Gechev addressed his German colleague the Federal Minster of Food and Agriculture Cem Ozdemir, the European Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski, the Mayor of Berlin Franziska Giffey and all the other guests who presented at the official opening of the Bulgarian stand at the International Exhibition for Agriculture, Food industry and horticulture "Green Week Berlin 2023". They had a look at the traditional Bulgarian products presented at the stand. The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Georgi Sabev, also took part in the event.

Bulgaria is represented by 14 Bulgarian food manufacturing companies at the international trade fair for food, agriculture and horticulture Green Week 2023. Our country participates in the event for the 32nd time in a row, and this year the Bulgarian  stand, covers 198 sq. m., presenting Bulgarian honey, wine, dairy products, meat, cosmetics, organic products, including rose and lavender oil, rose and lavender water etc. During his visit to Germany, Minister Yavor Gechev will hold talks on current topics with his colleagues from other European countries.

Minister Gechev will also participate in the Summit of Agriculture Ministers on Saturday (January 21), which is organized by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany. The motto of the summit is: “Transforming food systems. A global response to multiple crises”.
