“Our country has opportunities and potential to increase agricultural trade with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA”), stated Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Prof. Dr. Hristo Bozukov during a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of KSA in Bulgaria HE Mesfer Abdulrahman Al Ghassib. "Bulgaria produces agricultural products of high value and quality, and they should find their place on the Arab market," added Minister Bozukov.

In his words, the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency has launched eight procedures for import into KSA. So far, four of them have already been finalized – for the import of fish and fish products, sheep, large ruminants, as well as honey and honey products. He expressed his hope to obtain assistance and support from the Arab side for import of poultry (duck) meat, poultry products, meat and meat products from large and small ruminants, dairy products and feed.
