"A clear and long-term vision for the development of agriculture is needed." The Minister of Agriculture and Food, Plamen Abrovsky stated this,during a meeting with representatives of the Bulgarian Farmers' Union. During the conversation, a shared understanding was expressed that the challenges in the sector require a consistent policy and a clearly formulated development concept. The Minister emphasized that the goal is to create predictable conditions for agricultural producers, enabling them to plan their growth sustainably.

Among the main topics of the meeting were the cooperation and consolidation of producers as an instrument to boost competitiveness and achieve better market access. The discussions also covered issues related to the agricultural labor market and the need to secure a qualified workforce in the sector, as well as the importance of implementing effective risk management tools. Furthermore, the meeting addressed the management of water resources and irrigation, along with the necessity to encourage young people to pursue careers in agriculture.
