Visitors of Festival of organic producers “BioMania 2011” in Plovdiv had the opportunity to taste organic milk, organic cheese, organic hazelnuts and organic honey and other organic products produced by local farmers. During the exhibition with its own organic products were presented Agricultural University in Plovdiv, farms in protected areas – Central Balkan, Besaparski Hill, Central and East Rodopi. Visitors of the Festival were able to taste organic wine from the University’s wine-cellar, as well as wine of producers from the region.
For everyone who was interested in this kind of production there was an information stand including literature on different themes of organic production, as well as materials under Rural Development Program and examples for good agricultural practices with high natural value and protected areas from ecological net Natura 2000.
