Bulgaria and France support the conservation of funds in Agriculture sector within the new programming period of the CAP 2013-2020. This became clear at the meeting of Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tzvetan Dimitrov and Svetlana Boyanova the Director-General "Policies in agriculture, food industry and territories" to the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development and Spatial Planning of Republic of France, Mr. Eric Allen at the ministry. They discussed the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy 2013-2020.
Bulgaria proposes the financial framework of the CAP to be kept, which will help the growing challenges facing modern agriculture to be overcome.
The French government also stands by maintaining the level of CAP funding, said Mr.Eric Allen. He stressed that France will support the decision of our country on this issue before the European Commission. Mr. Allen added that his country would stand firmly behind the decision of Bulgaria for more flexibility between the first and second pillar.
Both sides also agreed on the idea that direct payments are important as a support means of income for farmers and are vital for them.
