Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tsvetan Dimitorv presented to public discussion today the strategic priorities of Government on preparation of the reformed Common Agricultural Policy after 2013.
Deputy Minister Dimitrov stressed that it should be learnt the most important elements from all the reformed options for Bulgaria, which were proposed by the Commission. For our country the major priority is faster leveling of subsidies and removal of historic approach and their referenced periods for determination. Deputy Minister also said that there are two key guidelines for policy making- guarantee of food safety of European population and beyond of Europe, and social conditions for the construction of new vision by the European Community as a whole in terms of supporting agriculture.
Society has become much more demanding to Agriculture, said Tsvetan Dimitrov and this will inevitably affect on determination of the financial framework of this policy and in determination of European and national criteria for its allocation.
The discussions were attended by trade union leaders, Dr. Konstantin Trenchev, Deputy Director of Economic and Social Council and Plamen Dimitrov, Chairman of Commission of Labour, Incomes, Living Standard and Industrial Relations of ESC.
