Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tzvetan Dimitrov and Deputy Minister of Agriculture in Turkmenistan Muradklutch Ataev signed today in the ministry an agreement for cooperation in agriculture.
Deputy Minister Dimitrov and Deputy Minister Ataev exchanged information about the development of agriculture in the two countries and agreed there was potential for furtherance of partnership in plant growing, plant protection, veterinary services and food and animal farming safety. The two sides agreed to carry out exchange of experience between their research institutes. They plan to launch crash courses in production of foods and in improving food quality. The agreement is part of the first session underway of the Bulgarian-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation. For the Bulgarian side its co-chairman is the Bulgarian Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Traicho Traikov.
