Minister of Agriculture and Food Miroslav Naydenov has unveiled the Bulgarian stand at the international exhibition for the food, agriculture, and gardening industry International Green Week in Berlin.

The official opening was attended by Federal Minister of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection Ilse Aigner, Berlin Mayor Klaus Wowereit, European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Dacian Ciolos, representatives of the German food industry. The guests tasted home-made banitsa, a traditional Bulgarian cheese pastry. Minister Naydenov gave them Bulgarian honey, Gornooryahovski Sudzhuk (compacted, non-perishable, raw and dried sausage; it is the first Bulgarian protected geographical indication according to the European quality policy) and selected wine.
"Once again Bulgaria participated in Green Week, this year's stand is spacious with a variety of companies presenting their products," he said. I am glad that despite the crisis has an interest in the companies, he added.
The focus of the Bulgarian stand this year is organic food.
