Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tzvetan Dimitrov opened the 20th edition of the International Agricultural Exhibition AGRA-2011 in the International Fair in Plovdiv.
"The exhibition may show how agriculture is getting slowly out of the crisis and turning to be one of the most promising sectors in Bulgarian economy. In the last year the agricultural sector registered a growth of 3% and over 900 million dollars in foreign trade balance, "said Deputy Minister at the opening ceremony.
"Since our country is a member of the European Union, Bulgarian agriculture is developing in a dynamic and attractive business environment with new rules, but with more variety of new opportunities," pointed out Deputy Minister Dimitrov
This year, AGRA-2011 is held under the patronage of Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov. The ministry has a stand on which gives latest information and advice on the RDP.
Among the official guests at the opening were the Executive Director of State Fund "Agriculture" Svetoslav Simeonov and chairman of the Agricultural Academy Svetla Bachvarova.
