Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov will participate in meeting of Council of EU on Agriculture and Fishery, which will be held on October 20 and 21, 2011 in Luxembourg.
According to the preliminary agenda at the forthcoming conference the Commission will present the package for reform of The Common Agricultural Policy, including seven legal proposals on which Member States will hold an exchange of views.
It is expected Ministers to hold a debate on amended proposal regarding to food distribution to most indigent individuals in EU.
On October 12, 2011 during bilateral meeting within the framework of joint conference of Bulgarian and Romanian Governments in Bucharest, the both Ministers of Agriculture agreed the position to maintain the program for food distribution to the poorest people in European Union. On this issue both countries stand behind the position of France for maintainance the program.
During the conference of The Council will also be discussed the draft Council decision for establishing the position, which should be taken on behalf of European Union in relation to resolutions, discussed and voted by International Organization of Vine and Wine.
