Next week will start the transfer of additional payments into farmers’ accounts for sector “Animal breeding” for campaign 2011. Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov sent to State Fund “Agriculture” calculations for allocation of funds under schemes for national additional payments for animals and payments for unit area for 2011. Accounts are based on information for determined number of animals.

Under different schemes farmers will receive as follows:

  • For cows with suckling calves non binding production – BGN 80 per unit
  • For cattle non binding production – commonly BGN 150 per unit, this will be transferred into two tranches – BGN 91 in next week, and BGN 59 in first ten days of 2012.
  • For buffalos – BGN 300 per unit
  • For sheep and goats (bounded with production) – BGN 29 per unit

In additional order in coming days Minister Naydenov will determine the single payments for milk cows and sheep on art. 68 of Regulation 73 with funds under Single Payment Scheme.

It is also expected they to be paid by the end of this year.

Ministry of Agriculture and Food appeals to animal breeders to check the activity of their accounts, thus they will receive transferred payments without a problem.
