Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tsvetan Dimitrov met with Chief Deputy Major in Municipal Government in Tiajin Dongliang Iang and Deputy Major in charge of agriculture, rural areas, forests, safety and food control Lee Venksi in Tiajin, China. Tiajin City is one of the forth autonomous cities in Republic of China, which are governed by its own municipal government directly subordinate to Peking with a population of 12 million inhabitants.

During the meeting China confirmed its interest to invest in Bulgarian agriculture. On his side, Dr. Tsvetan Dimitrov noted the traditionally good relations between two countries, which are built for many years, as well as the fact that on the base of these relations can be developed complex activities in field of agriculture.

Bulgarian delegation visited one of the largest wineries in China “Dynasty” founded in 1980, where were discussed the issues regarding to trade relations with Bulgaria. Deputy Minister Dimitrov met with representatives of milk sector from the region of Tiajin, where were discussed the opportunities for cooperation in production, processing and trade with dairy products. Also was discussed the possibility for supply of dehydrated feed from Bulgaria to China.

Deputy Minister Dimitrov visited Baodi municipality, which is inhabited by 1 million inhabitants. He held a meeting with the Head of Agricultural sector in the region, Mr. Fang Zhia Feng, at which were discussed the opportunities for bilateral cooperation in agricultural sector.
 
Tomorrow, November 10, 2011 Deputy Minister Tsvetan Dimitrov will meet with Deputy Minister of Agriculture of China, Mr. Gao Honbin.
