Minister Miroslav Naydenov took a bow before the bas-relief of the Apostle of Freedom in front of the Bulgarian Embassy in Paris
Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov opened the first-time Bulgarian expostion stand at the 48th edition of International Agricultural Show (Salon International de l'Agriculture 2011) in Paris.
The Minister stressed on the fact that the most powerful Bulgarian companies in the field of dairy and meat production, wine industry, beekeeping and rose oil cosmetics are represented in the show.
According to Minister Naydenov, this is a good start and a chance for Bulgarian producers to make more contacts and market production on a larger scale.
Participation of this type will bring a much higher dividend than the conventional advertising, believes Dr. Naydenov. It is clear that today, when everybody talks about crisis in the food sector and the rise in prices, it is obligatory to attend to such major events for the agricultural sector and food industry.
Minister Naydenov added that the newly established Food Safety Agency will provide greater guarantees for the conclusion of contracts with foreign partners for our agricultural products.
The Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture was provocative in stating that Bulgaria has a very good position in attracting business attention precisely in fields such as cosmetics, winery and diary production, in which France is traditionally strong.
At the same time, Naydenov stressed that Bulgaria has to put more efforts in developing its potential in the agriculture sector, which has been neglected in previous years.
The opening of Bulgaria's stand at the International Agricultural Show (Salon International de l'Agriculture 2011) was attended by Bulgarian Ambassador to France HE Mr. Marin Raykov, whom earlier today the Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov placed flowers at the monument of Vasil Levski in front of the Bulgarian Embassy in Paris to celebrate the 138th anniversary of the hanging of the Apostle.
The Bulgarian exhibition stand is presented by wine companies “Bessa Valley” ,“Bulgarian Heritage "and" Strymon ", Bella Bulgaria” with its meat dishes, “LB Bulgaricum”, “Parshevitsa” and “Madzharov” with their dairy products. Cosmetic industry was presented by the Institute of Rose and Oil-bearing crops, Zornitsa Company and Bio Fresh.
Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov participated in the luncheon for the distinguished guests at the Paris Agricultural Show, given by his French counterpart - Minister of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Bruno Le Maire.
The Paris International Agricultural Show is one of the world's most high-profile fairs in the field, and its opening Saturday was attended by a number of international and local government representatives, including French President Nicholas Sarkozy.
