“Agriculture is the most stable sector of the Bulgarian economy and it has the export potential to external markets. Our products are very popular on the Japanese market, “stressed Minister of Agriculture, Prof. Dimitar Grekov at the meeting with the Ambassador of Japan H.E. Takashi Koizumi in MAF. Ambassador Koizumi agreed that Bulgaria is famous for its traditional products such as yogurt, rose oil, wine and herbs.

 

Minister Dimitar Grekov underlined that Bulgaria offers excellent conditions for the production of aromatic plants like roses, lavender and mint. "Our agriculture can also offer environmentally friendly products such as honey, baby food and wine," he added further.

 

Minister Grekov and Ambassador Koizumi agreed on the idea that the two countries had to develop the existing potential for cooperation.
