Minister Dimitar Grekov welcomed the participants of the Third Spring Livestock Breeding and Agriculture Celebration in Kresna. “Bulgaria is everything we created in the past, what we have managed to keep till now and what we will build in the future. That's why your role as guardian of the authentic Bulgarian heritage is extremely important not only for us but for future generations, "said Minister Grekov in his address to the organizers and the guests of the ceremony.
The third Spring Livestock Breeding and Agriculture Festival in Kresna unites animal breeders and farmers from the towns of Petrich, Sandanski, Blagoevgrad, Gotse Delchev . They present the best breeds of native animals as well as biologically pure animal production, old breeds of sheep, goats, horses and dogs, natural foods, local crafts and traditions.
The spring festival is organized for the third consecutive year by the Struma Union of Farmers with the assistance of the Association for Breeding Indigenous Breeds in Bulgaria, International Karakachan Dog Association, Bulgarian Biodiversity Preservation Society, Semperviva, Balkans Wildlife Society, School of Nature - Vlahi and with the support of Kresna Municipality
The festival was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Eng. Valentin Marinova, Governor of Blagoevgrad Moussa Palev, Mayor of the town of Kresna Eng. Ilia Krastev, as well as mayors and municipal councilors from across the region.
