Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naidenov ordered the Executive Agency on Vine and Wine to carry out stringent checks on the illegal trade in wine and spirits around the holidays. "Consumers should know that if they buy wine and spirits in bulk, they endanger their health,” commented minister. "I recommend consumers to buy bottled products of proven origin that come from licensed manufacturers", he said. The Minister added that traders use increased consumption around the holidays to promulgate illegal and low quality production. They should know keep close watch on them if they continue to work in the grey sector, he added further.
