Today begins the payment of national payments for farmers. This was announced by Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov at the opening of the new office of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency in Veliko Tarnovo. Funds transfer will be made today for buffalo and cattle breeding farmers, while on Wednesday tranches will be made for the sheep breeding farmers. For the first time this year buffalo breeders will receive BGN 300 per capita.
Under different schemes farmers will receive as follows:
- For cows with suckling calves non binding production – BGN 80 per unit
- For cattle non binding production – commonly BGN 150 per unit, this will be transferred into two tranches – BGN 91 in next week, and BGN 59 in first ten days of 2012.
- For buffalos – BGN 300 per unit
- For sheep and goats (bounded with production) – BGN 29 per unit
In additional order in coming days Minister Naydenov will determine the single payments for milk cows and sheep on art. 68 of Regulation 73 with funds under Single Payment Scheme.
