“Nearly BGN 20 mln will be transferred in a target manner under the RDP for the repair of the damages in the village of Hitrino after the explosion," announced Minister of Agriculture and Food Desislava Taneva to the media in Brussels after a meeting with Vice-President of the European Commission and European Commissioner for budget and human resources Kristalina Georgieva. She explained that the decision was taken after a two-day communication in a working group established on the initiative of Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva, supported by the European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Phil Hogan and European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Kretsu. “The Hitrino municipality has the project readiness for the water and sewage infrastructure, the road network and street network to the amount of BGN 8 M. By the end of this week, when I return, I will sign an order for the utilization of this target transfer,” said Taneva. According to her, currently a team from the ministry and the municipality discuss the project readiness for the design and repair of municipal infrastructure destroyed by the blast.
Desislava Taneva thanked the EU Commissioners Georgieva, Hogan and Kretsu. Agriculture Minister noted that the Ministry has provided firewood and 1000 cubic meters of large timber for reconstruction of houses of the victims of the blast.
