Minister of Agriculture and Food Vassil Groudev and the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Bulgaria HE Tom van Oorschot have signed a joint declaration for cooperation in the area of agriculture. "It is my pleasure together to develop our good cooperation within the framework of this project," announced Minister Groudev upon signing the declaration. The agreement will expand bilateral collaboration between our countries, said Ambassador Tom van Oorschot.
 
The agreement’s main priorities are the development of the greenhouse sector and the establishment of organizations of producers. Minister Groudev underlined that both priorities were of extreme importance to Bulgarian fruit and vegetable producers, suffering right now significant losses due to the Russian embargo.
 
Another significant priority in the document is cooperation on the implementation of the reformed Common Agricultural Policy, as regards to the first and second pillar of the policy. The declaration outlying a more active cooperation in the field of livestock breeding, agricultural science and education
 
It became clear at the meeting that training and exchanges of Bulgarian specialists and experts in the Netherlands will be carried out.
