Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tzvetan Dimitrov attended the opening of the International Exhibition of Vine-Growing and Winemaking Vinaria 2012 in Plovdiv Fair,. The exhibition was opened by the Minister for management of EU funds Tomislav Donchev. This year's prestigious exhibition celebrated the 20th anniversary and enables exhibitors from 17 countries to present their products. Deputy Minister Dimitrov made a tour at the exhibition and visited the stands of wine producers .

During the press conference at "Vinaria", Deputy Minister Dimitrov noted that the new Law on Wineapproved by Committee on Agriculture and Forestry and the National Assembly,  next week will enter the plenary hall for second reading. He stressed that it will keep customs and traditions in the sector and at the same time will enable horizon-expanding opportunities for development of the sector.

For the first time the EU has adopted a program for promotion of Bulgarian wines destined for China. Its funding in amounts to EUR 3 million, informed the Deputy Minister. He said that we should use EU funds to promote our wines.

The opening ceremony  was attended by Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture and Forestry Desislava Taneva, the Executive Director of Vine and Wine engineer Krasimir Koev and chairman of the National Chamber of Vine and Wine professor Plamen Mollov.
