“Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture together with branch organizations do everything possible the seat of the Regional Consultative Council for the Black Sea to be in Bulgaria”, by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Valentin Marinova, during the opening of a meeting with branch organizations and fishermen in the town Burgas, held in relation to the establishment of the Regional Consultative Council for the Black Sea.

 

EU MEP Iliana Iotova attended the meeting where she highlighted that the representatives of the "Fisheries” sector are the main and active party, on which depends whether our country could win the seat of the Regional Consultative Council for the Black Sea to be in Bulgaria, not in Romania.

 

The establishment of the Regional Consultative Council will contribute to the sustainable management of fish stocks in the Black Sea and will help the objectives of the European Common Fisheries Policy to be achieved.
