Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov welcomed the Bulgarian ship “BCH 5159”at the  "North" Port in Varna, after almost a year  of detention in Romania. "I am pleased with the development of the case so far," said Minister Naydenov. He recalled that last week  he had a meeting with Romanian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Stelian Fuia and the European Commissioner for Fisheries and Maritime affairs Maria Damanaki, which definitely has a result.

Minister Naydenov  pointed out that yesterday to the last second there were nail-biting moments and the ship crew was refused permission to sail. However, after a conversation with the Romanian Government ship left for Bulgaria.

Ship captain Hristo Spasov commented that this almost one year of stress and terror has nearly ruined his life. He added that the crew, which initially consisted of 10 people, no longer exists and everything should be started from a scratch" We do not go there to steal but to provide food for our families,” said Hristo Spasov and thanked the Minister Naydenov for the support.
