245 farmers are compensated with over BGN 1,243,700 for their harvest, totally destroyed by the floods and hails in 2010.
The largest is the number of affected farmers in Yambol Region. 62 farmers received financial support of nearly BGN 259 500. Areas with destroyed crops in Burgas are on the second place. A subsidy of nearly BGN 272 600 is paid to 41 farmers.
State aid is granted only for crops destroyed at 100%. Farmers who haven’t insured their lands will receive half of the full amount.
Agriculture Fund paid also loans amounting to BGN 758,600 under low-interest financial line for the purchase of seed production of pepper, 2011 harvest. Credit scheme is implemented in the second year and the interest in it, is not very high. Only 31 farmers applied under the scheme for a cultivated area at total of 1814 dca.
Most loans amounting to BGN 421,386 were granted to 15 farmers from Plovdiv. The funds are invested in pepper production for an area of 1003 dca.
