Executive Agency for Fishery and Aquacultures (IARA) executive director Dragomir Gospodinov, joined by IARA deputy director Kiril Delev and experts met with sport fishing and fishing clubs and associations to discuss a proposal for a pilot project to allow nighttime fishing in six inland dams and certain sections of the Danube river.
The key points of the proposal were agreed in October 2012 in the town of Ruse by the IARA management, local sport fishing clubs and fishermen.
According to the proposal, night fishing will be allowed between June 1 and November 30, 2013. IARA experts will prepare a proposal for order to be submitted for approval with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food to pilot the project.
