Experts from Ministry of Agriculture and Food participated in the largest European International Exhibition for biological agriculture “TECH and BIO 2011” in Valence, France.
The exhibition is held for the third consecutive year and it included more than 220 exhibitors.
During the exhibition was held a round table discussion on: “Stable development of biological farming in the European territory”, on which Mrs. Evgeniya Mitrova Chief of “Plant-growing” Directorate of MAF presented the position of our country for stable development of biological agriculture, as she described two main key points. The first one is related with confirming of image of organic food as healthy, safe, high quality, manufactured by reliable systems for control and certificate, and increasing consumers’’ acquaintance about methods of organic products.
Organic farmers should be supported, financially stimulated, as this will contribute to increase their competitiveness on a world level, said Mrs. Mitrova.
During the exhibition, which was held on September 7 to 8 2011, Bulgaria presents its own stand, where are offered samples of Bulgarian organic products, such as rose and lavender oil, rose and lavender water.
The exhibition is organized by the Agricultural Chamber of the Department of Drome, the region with the most biofarms in France.
