Congratulatory speech by Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov on the Day of the Food Industry

Please accept my sincere congratulations on the Day of the food industry. I appreciate that all of you who care delicious and qualitative food to present on Bulgarian table, endeavor to cover the food safety standards for to the consumer to be sure in consumption.

Under conditions of market economy, where food production has been strongly segmented, it is very important an effective model for developing uniform standards for quality as the raw material base for food and as a final product to operate within the farm to table chain.

With measures taken by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Agency a serious control mechanism on food production from farm to table will be introduced to a large extend. We intend to re-introduce the Bulgarian state food standard in order marketing of bad quality products to be limited to minimum.

In this festive day I would like wish you and your families health and business success , as I do believe  you will continue to develop your professionalism in the future and will prove the opportunities of fair competition in the sector.,
