Bulgarian winery triumphed again with a gold medal from the elite exhibition Vinalies Internationales 2011 in Paris, French Republic. The prestigious competition was held on the eve of THE National Day of Bulgaria - March 3. This gold medal again made millions of Bulgarians to feel proud that our country occupies a deserved place on the world wine scene.
For the second consecutive year, the hundred most influential enologists awarded the gold to a Bulgarian red wine, combining in a unique manner three red varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot.
Some participants in the competition commented that it has already became a tradition for Bulgaria to conquer Frenchmen’s hearts with wine produced from the French variety called Syrah. This is tremendous recognition for our winery, where the French variety has been cultivated on the most fertile lands near Karnobat for years. Bulgarian wine won the gold medal a very challenging battele with 3500 wines, presented by the most famous European and International wineries.
