Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture (NAFA) has a new CEO. This is Mr. Dragomir Gospodinov, who was Deputy Director of State Fund "Agriculture" and was responsible for the Technical Inspectorate. The former director of NAFA Plamen Zahariev left on his own, as it passes to another job. Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov hopes the new director of the Agency to use its experience in technical inspectorate and to strengthen control against illegal fishing. Last week, the minister promised to strengthen control against illegal fishing of turbot and sprat before the European Commissioner for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Maria Damanaki as condition for keeping the current quotas.
