No new FMD samples tested positive so far.. From More than 2,800 tests have been made since Friday until today from farm animals in the municipalities Tsarevo, Malko Tarnovo and Sredets.

Klling of animals in the village of Kosti continued due to the 37 cases of the disease established there. The culling will be done by lethal injection and more than 530 cloven-hoofed animals will be injected. It is Expected the process to be completed within 2-3 days. The carcasses are buried at a specially designated location. The village  is put under quarantine. Access of people is limited while movement of animals is strictly prohibited.

National Veterinary Service (NVS) has imposed restrictions on the movement of livestock and the export of animal products in the eastern regions of Burgas, Varna, Shumen, Sliven, Yambol, Haskovoand Kurdzhali.
