Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Tzvetan Dimitrov met with Chairman of the Bulgarian Veterinary Union Dr. Yordan Boychev and representatives of the Governing Council of the Union in the building of the MAF.
The Union has proposed amendments to the Law on Veterinary Activity. During the meeting they discussed the terms and provisions for future individual contracts of private veterinary practitioners. Future arrangements for simplification of procedures in information exchange between farmers, veterinarians and Paying Agency and the parameters of the proposed contracts between farmers and veterinarians were some of the issues also discussed at the meeting.
Deputy Minister Dimitrov, in his turn, insisted on creation of a mechanism to demand responsibility for non-compliance with veterinary obligations that hinder farmers to receive subsidies from the Paying Agency.
